BAPTISM:  Baptisms are usually celebrated in one of the Parish weekend Masses at a date and time that is convenient for both you and the Parish.  You will be invited to join our baptism program which is organised by a couple in the Parish. They will journey with you through to your child's/children's baptism.  Baptism Information   This is an exciting time for you and the Parish.  Please download the baptismal form, fill it in and return it to the Parish.  You will soon be contacted by one of the couples.   Baptism Application

RECONCILIATION:  This Sacrament has been called the Sacrament of Penance and Confession, but now known as the Sacrament of Reconciliation.  This is usually celebrated in grade three or later if you feel your child/children are not ready.   The preparation is Parish and Family based which simply means the work is done in the home through the guidance of the parish staff.   For those with children in our Parish School, the children also study religion in class.  This is a great support for the families.

EUCHARIST:  Which is the high point of the Catholic Community, as Vatican two says... "it is the source and summit" of the life of the church.  In the Eucharist we are nourished by the Body and Blood of Christ, the one who is the food for our journey.  If you would like your child to receive their first communion which we celebrate when they are in grade 4 or later.  Enrolment Form   Schedule of Dates    Reflection Day Permission Letter

CONFIRMATION:

Confirmation is a deeper initiation into the faith community “Sealing” meaning “to Belong”. Acts 8:14-17

“Now when the apostles at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent
Peter and John to them.

The two went down and prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit

(for as yet the Spirit had not come upon any of them; they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus).  Then Peter and John laid their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit. “ (NRSV) Confirmation is related to Baptism.  Here, at Holy Saviour Parish we celebrate Confirmation at the age of 16 years.    Invitation Letter  Reflection Day Permission Form  Enrolment Form

MARRIAGE:  In the Catholic Church is the covenant by which man and woman establish a partnership for life, reflecting something of the bond of love between Christ and his people.  Please see brochure Marriage pamphlet and form for more information.  Booking Form

ANOINTING OF THE SICK:  It is the Sacrament that helps unite those who are suffering with Jesus' saving and healing power.  The Sacrament may be celebrated in the Parish Masses on a week day or Sunday.  It may also be celebrated in the home or hospital.

HOLY ORDERS:  This sacrament is about the ordination of a person to deaconate or priesthood.  Please talk to the Parish Priest or contact the vocations office.  Vocations Office
