Our Office currently offers a number of workshops to help parishes with their formation programs. All sessions are interactive and practical in application. Sessions include:
Family Faith Sessions
Parent-only session
"A
Faith to Live By" (during Eucharist/Confirmation Program)
This session uses the Creedal statements
from the Rite of Confirmation to explore living faith in today’s world.
Parent/child workshop
“Who am I?”
Exploring our Catholic identity (Grades 1 & 2)
This interactive and engaging session unpacks our 'Catholic backpack' to see what might be inside... and there are
definitely some surprises!
Parent/Child Sacrament Reflection Workshops
- Reconciliation: the
Sacrament of Healing & Forgiveness
This interactive session seeks to uncover
the richness of this healing encounter with our merciful God.
- First Eucharist: Picnic Rug Workshop
This session asks participants to BYO a picnic rug and come on an adventure with Jesus.
- Confirmation: the
Spirit alive in Me!
This session celebrates and challenges our
mission to live the Good News, i.e.: The Fruits of the Spirit: take a survey and
see what you rate yourself!
Parish Reflection Days
Working collaboratively with Parish
Priests, Pastoral Associates and Parish Pastoral Councils/Leadership Teams to tailor specific needs and desired
outcomes.
Liturgical Formation Sessions
Provided in parishes upon request for
numbers of 20+, e.g. for those on current parish rosters and/or those seeking to join
the ministry. Common workshops include:
- Readers
of God's Word
- Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
- Leaders of Liturgy of the Word with Children
These workshops complement the supplementary material provided by the Liturgical Ministry Brochure Series, a collection of materials summarising the theological background, liturgical guidelines and
pastoral notes on various aspects of each ministry.
