For more than 18 years now, young men and women have gathered every week for an hour of prayer and adoration in front of the Blessed Sacrament. Six30 Holy Hour is a chance to pray and to meet other young people from around Melbourne while listening to beautiful music and great homilies. There is also the opportunity to go to Confession.
What is Adoration?
Through the miracle that happens in every Mass, Catholics believe that Jesus is truly present in the Blessed Sacrament. So when we place the Blessed Sacrament in a monstrance on the altar, we can bring to Jesus all of our needs and hopes. We can thank Him for all the good things in our lives, and ask for His help and comfort for all the bad things. Most importantly, we believe that Jesus loves us and He just wants us to be close to Him.
