Parish Youth Group Visits

Each year, the AOY embarks on visits to all the youth groups in our database across the Archdiocese of Melbourne. This year, we have been out to visit just over 30 youth groups with the majority of them being in the western and eastern regions.
The visits are always so much fun as we not only get a better idea of how the youth groups across the Archdiocese are operating, but we also get to be involved and participate in the youth group evenings. The visits also help us to understand exactly what the groups need by having some one-on-one time with their leaders. The program helps to define what resources and programs the Youth Office produces and really gives us a strategic direction.
By heading out to the parishes of the Archdiocese, we are able to build stronger relationships and keep the lines of communications open. We continue the dialogue through our email updates and regional and central events. The office also meets with youth groups to help with everything from startup to reboots. As we wrap up another year of visits, we encourage any groups that haven’t heard from our office to give us a call on 9287 5565 or email
