St Christopher's Parish

Child Safety Policy and Documents

The Parish Leadership is working on creating and maintaining a 'Child Safe environment' within the parish. The Child Safety Committee of the parish has worked on preparing these documents and a policy, that has helped us to implement, and be compliant with, the Child Safe Standards, as required by the Child Well being and Safety Act (Vic). We hope that you take the time to become familiar with them. Its very important for all of us to know what's in these documents, so we can work towards creating a 'culture of safety' in our community.
We are committed to a safe and nurturing culture for all children and young people in our Church
As a parish within the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne, St Christopher’s Parish, Syndal, holds the care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people as central and fundamental responsibilities of the Church. This commitment is drawn from and inherent to the teaching and mission of Jesus Christ, with love, justice and the sanctity of each human person at the heart of the Gospel.
