Support Groups

MenALIVE promotes fellowship and faith development with the aim of journeying together and living meaningful lives.
The group is open to all male adults who can see the benefits of making their spiritual journey in the company of fellow Christian brothers; and have fun together along the way.

            1. regular meetings to learn and share about our Faith and its relevance in our daily lives;
            2. social events including food, wine & music;
            3. plenty of laughter.

ReachOut is for anyone who wants something in addition to just attending Mass on the weekend.

Parishioners are organised into small groups which meet approximately once a month in members’ homes to share faith and fellowship, make new friends, share refreshments and have great conversations in a relaxed and informal setting.

There are groups to suit everyone … for young married couples, for established families with teens, just adults only and a day group for those available to meet during the day.  Members are strongly encouraged to invite friends, neighbours and family members to their meetings.

One key feature of ReachOut is the Home Mass.  About once a quarter, a few small groups will get together at one of the members’ home for a Home Mass, celebrated by either Fr. Pat or Fr. Ralph. All are welcome to join one of the groups or form new groups.

St Christopher’s Tennis Club was founded in 1967 with opportunities for competitive and social tennis through the year. For over 40 years, many teams have represented the club, providing enjoyment and considerable success as can be seen from the many pennants on display in the clubhouse. The club has three excellent en-tout-cas courts at the far north end of the parish property behind the Hennessey Hall.

Organised social tennis is available from 9.30am on Tuesdays, from 7:30 pm (under lights) on Wednesdays (modest cost to cover lights) and from 2.00 pm on most Saturdays. Monthly social round robins are held, usually on the first Sunday of each month, commencing at 1.30pm. Club Championships are held in April.
New members are always welcome. There are four membership categories:
  • Senior members
  • Family members (1 or 2 seniors and 1 or more juniors)
  • Junior members (under 18 years)
  • Student members (over 18 years in full time study)

For membership fees, please contact the club. The club’s financial year runs from 1 July to 30 June. New members joining during the financial year pay pro rata for the remaining months of the year.
