do you seek the living among the dead? He is risen.”
is the commemoration of a unique event, unparalleled in history. Nothing like this has ever been heard before
Christ or after Christ. Lazarus in the Gospel was raised by Christ from the
dead, but he died again. Jesus Christ
rose from the dead to die no more. He is
risen from the world of dead, with unearthly splendour and glory. So it is a
celebration of triumph of life over death, hope over despair, light over
darkness, goodness over evil.
resurrection of the Lord is the guarantee of our resurrection. Christ has given us the hope that we too
shall rise like him to a new life of grace. This hope should encourage us to live a true and sincere Christian life. We should die to our sins; pride, hatred,
selfishness, dishonesty and evil desires must not find any place in us
anymore. To die with him means to rise
with him for by dying he destroyed our death and by rising he restored our
friends, we are people of Easter. We
belong to the Risen Lord.
He grant you a most blessed and grace filled Easter. May the Risen Lord fill your hearts and homes
with peace and joy.
