Director's Reflection (October 2017): "At this point in the liturgical year the second reading is being drawn from Paul’s letter to the Philippians. ... It is thought that Paul is writing to the community from prison – and even from prison the author is able to encourage the people of Philippi not to worry. Perhaps we can learn from Paul’s advice to our ancestors about how to maintain a peaceful heart."

An end-of-year celebration for Pastoral Associates, Pastoral Workers and Lay Chaplains.

To help parishes prepare for the Year of Youth, the Archdiocesan Office for Youth is hosting a workshop day especially for parishes, offering strategies and models for youth engagement and formation.

Friday 11 August --- Pastoral Associates, Pastoral Workers and Lay Chaplains are invited to a day of contemplation and reflection. Focused on nourishing the spirit, the session will explore ways in which we can identify, grow from and embrace the ‘brokenness’ we encounter in the everyday.

Author and teacher Mark Patrick Hederman OSB visited Australia in June 2017. As part of his visit, he led a conversation on 'caring for the soul', and why we (as church) need to 'rearrange' the way we carry out the mission and acknowledge that "the Holy Spirit is already out there... but it needs landing permission, and we cannot control this. ... It is we who have to rearrange and read the signs of the times."
