Concern about proposed changes to legalise euthanasia and physician assisted suicide reach well beyond the Catholic community.
While in Australia, British actress, comedian and disability
activist Liz Carr recorded this message to Victorians imploring them reject euthanasia and
assisted suicide.
"There is no proof, no proof in the jurisdictions
where it has been legalised that vulnerable people, the people at risk,
that the silent voices, the more silent voices of older, disabled and
ill people will be heard and will be protected... Do we introduce a law
for the benefit of the few at the risk to the many?"
Liz Carr recently also voiced her concerns to Victorian MPs.
Victorian barrister Julian McMahon (AC) shares his concerns about legalising euthanasia and physician assisted suicide.
