The following statement was published in the mass booklet for the Solemn Mass and Liturgical Reception of the Most Rev. Denis Hart as Archbishop of Melbourne on the 1 August 2001. It may be adapted for use at masses when it is necessary to inform non-Catholic guests of the practice of the Catholic Church in regard to the reception of Holy Communion.
