St. Francis Xavier’s Autumn Friendship Club was formed in 1995, for senior members of the parish, to provide companionship, entertainment and information, through speakers and outings.
Because the numbers have shrunk considerably, and all are now past their 80th birthday, members have decided to meet fortnightly.
Once every school term we attend the cinema, or have a fund-raising lunch, play Bingo, do gentle exercises, have a speaker or watch a DVD, reflect with Sr. Moira – and talk a lot!
