Australian Catholic Youth Festival
8-10 December, Perth WA

The fourth Australian Catholic Youth Festival (ACYF) will take place at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre from 8–10 December 2019. ACYF provides young people with opportunities to deepen their relationship with Jesus, be empowered to be disciples in the world today and to encounter and celebrate the vitality of the Church in Australia.

The Melbourne Archdiocese is taking an official “Melbourne ACYF Pilgrimage”, which offers young people from parishes, schools and the wider community the chance to enjoy and experience this significant encounter alongside peers from their local community of faith.

*Just to be clear, that’s by car. We’re flying.
 

So, who’s going from Melbourne?

Over 1000 Melbourne ACYF pilgrims are from schools, parishes and communities from around the Archdiocese. To follow he journey of our youth and young adults in Perth, be sure to follow our social media streams as we "Listen to what the Spirit is Saying!"

The Australian Catholic Youth Festival is a place where young people can gather to share faith and celebrate the vitality of the Catholic Church in Australia. You will meet with Church leaders, encounter the Sacraments, and discover God’s love for you and how you are called to be a disciple.

Join us on the Melbourne pilgrimage to ACYF in Perth 2019 for a graced time of deepening our relationship with Jesus alongside friends from schools, parishes and communities all across the Archdiocese of Melbourne. Together, let us “listen to what the spirit is saying”.

Prayer for ACYF

Holy Spirit, Breath of God, 
you come to us in the stillness and silence of this Great South Land.
Give us the courage to open our hearts and ears, 
to listen to your voice as we seek to foster the growth 
of your Church in Australia.
Grant us the desire to know Jesus and say our ‘Yes’ 
to his invitation to spread the joy of the Gospel.
We ask for the gift of hope as you guide us in our search 
for purpose and meaning in our lives.
We pray together as young people that we may love 
and care for all of creation.
We make this prayer through Jesus Christ our Lord, 
our brother and our companion, 
who lives with You and the Father forever and ever.
